Transfer a yacht from the city of Gdynia (Poland) to the port of Penang (Malaysia)

The overall dimensions of the yacht did not allow the use of standard container equipment for transportation. The presence of expensive equipment in the yacht and the need for transhipment to various modes of transport created additional risks. The client set a task that included a full range of related services: customs clearance in Poland, road transportation from the city of Gdynia to the port of Gdansk and subsequent shipment by sea to the port of Pinang, customs clearance in the country of arrival, delivery from the port of Penang to the yacht marina and the launch of the yacht into the water.

The fast and optimal delivery route was container shipping to the port of Pinang (Malaysia), but there was no service from the ports of Gdynia to the port of Pinang at the sea lines, so the goods were delivered by road train to the nearest port of Gdansk. Trucking was carried out by a low-loader air suspension trawl to prevent damage to the yacht. In the port of Gdansk, the yacht was reloaded on the Flat Rack platform, and the ship delivered to the port of Penang, and then to the Batu Maung Dock Yard shipyard for launching.

The legislation of Malaysia strictly regulates the launching of watercraft, so permission was obtained to carry out these works, after which the yacht was launched and went on her first cruise.
