To transport a helicopter from Kiev (Ukraine) to the port of Auckland (New Zealand)

The dimensions of the helicopter did not allow it to be transported assembled in container equipment. The helicopter and its spare parts were regarded as dual-use cargo, which complicated the process of registration and approval of transportation with sea container lines.

It was decided to disassemble the air transport into the main components for loading into the container: the fuselage, blades, engine, control system and other elements. Together with the design unit of the aircraft factory in Kiev, the helicopter was disassembled and secured in a container. To complete the assembly, New Zealand developed technical documentation with which specialists in Auckland assembled a helicopter.
